  • Hello everybody,

I am currently improvising a nunnery (convent, abbey) and think I can make it work. However, I could not find any nun figures (or any clergy at all) in the base set (EEP 15) or any purchase sets that I have been looking at. I think I've made a fairly thorough tour of all people-sets in the Trend shop. All search terms in German and English (that I can think of) come up empty as well.

But I distinctly remember seeing nuns in other layouts.

So I assume it must be an addition to another purchase-set perhaps. (But apparently not "Kloster Linden" which is the only ready abbey I could find). Anybody has an idea where the nun models are hiding?

    Much appreciated - Thanks.

  • Hallo Rheinlaender/Games

So far I have not yet come across any.

Maybe there are own models which are not on sale at all.

  • Hello - that would explain it. Thank you very much.

I hope you are wrong but given my own search efforts I can only assume that nuns don't exist in the official world of EEP.

Just in case somebody knows: What does it take to create your own model (such as a nun figure for example?) Can you just import 3D CAD or is it a special format?

  • Hello

I would try it with makehuman and Blender 2.79

and HOME-Nostructor 15.0 to bring the figures to EEP.

    They are free programs.

  • Hello Rheinlandergames

In EEP6 from BH2 there where 3 nuns, freemodelle,

    Barbara, Clara and Dominique

Via the Konvertor tool I got them in EEP15 but that tool does not exist anymore.

May be BH2 can help you.

  • Hello again and thanks for all the helpful comments. The Forum is really great...........

@Benny - that is a great find! There was even another priest by the same designer in the previous year's edition (2016) of the calendar. Installed - looks perfect.

Weiche - Understand. I will take a look at those tools. I am not so much concerned with the cost of the Nostructor but more worried about the time required to get into it. The effort of learning it may not be worth a nun figure. But perhaps I can find other applications eventually.

    @ diabolo13 - correct - the Nostructor 15 is about 30 Euro.

AdvEe - ahhh - now I know where they came from at least. Would be great if a conversion is possible after all.

    Thanks again!

  • In EEP6 from BH2 there where 3 nuns, freemodelle,

I never built nuns (or any other persons). You probably meant BH1, which is Bernt Hoppe.

But if RheinlaenderGames doesn't already have the ModelConverter (which isn't available anymore), he won't be able to convert those models from EEP6 to EEP7 or higher.

There was even another priest by the same designer in the previous year's edition (2016) of the calendar.

I didn't find that other model, but wondered why the priest that I found was number 2 :an_1:

Yes you are correct. Sorry for the inconvenience.

And do not forget in most of the abbeys they produced the good beers :ag_1::ag_1::ag_1: and not the nuns

But I have absolutely no idea which one. So sorry, I can't be of more help.

IF you decide to buy HomeNos15, I can take you thru the process of making munks, nuns and the local reverent. It's not easy. But it is so much easier, when you have someone helping you step-by-step.

    Hallo Dennis,

First of all, thanks for the generous offer to help with HomeNos15, TransEuropa. I may get back to you regarding this. I will first try to find out more about the tool and if it makes sense for me.

I have so far not considered acquiring these sets. But now they receive a new level of attraction..... Initially I wanted to get "Anlage Nossen" next - mainly because of the narrow gauge components included there. But I may reconsider. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction.

  • As a closure to my question and to show that your kind help was not for nothing I wanted to show the nuns "in action" at their convent. (3 pics).

I am actually not really happy with the shown convent in its current form. One reason is the textures - or my lack of understanding on how to apply them - beyond the very basic. But I will post separately on this.

  • That's a gorgious setting RheinlaenderGames

With "textures" I get a sense you might be speaking of the ground textures, or bodentexturen in german. I can help you an awful lot with that if you want to.

But I will offer you a neet trick to start with. You see the trails/paths you made, that splits? You see that weird blue triangular thingy hanging in the air, and completely ruining the concept of realism? Point your mouse at one of them, right-click, and choose "Invisible".
